Rector of the Dutch Baptist Seminary in Amsterdam and a researcher at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. He earned his PhD at the VU with a dissertation titled Church-in-the-Neighbourhood: A Spatio-Theological Ethnography of Protestant Christian Place-Making in the Suburban Context of Lunetten, Utrecht. As a practical theologian, his research interests include liturgy, evangelical and baptistic ecclesial practices, contextual missiology, and practical theological methodology.
